Get this booklet. It isn't big, but it is well edited to save your time. I originally wanted to know just what others could do for me in 3D printing, and how I should submit my ideas to them, but soon, in reading the well organized 140 page book, I discovered that my primary project was one I could MANUFACTURE myself! You will be impressed by the world of 3D as identified by Mr. Ito. Obviously, he knows and defines and explains the entire anatomy of 3D, and you will be impressed by his honest summary of available equipment, defining lowest cost, easiest to use, limitations, and when you should consider avoiding the lowest cost (identified) in order to avoid certain limitations, yet you may find the lowest cost machine fit your needs. Speading the word that you and your equipment can do work for others is a baby-step after understanding the remarkable invention. Have an idea for a product? Print an actual prototype! Have a product? No need for inventory, print on demand. To most of the world this technology is so new, it is unknown outside of the techy crowd. Although a fairly short read, I really enjoyed this book. As a hobbyist, I'm always reading industry news and other information on 3D printing, and this book gave me some great ideas on how to take advantage of this technology even more. Also, there are other little known facts in the book such as the "3D Print" movie/documentary on Netflix that I didn't know about until I read this book. Overall its worth the $11.00 in my opinion.

Since the big hype around 3D printers started, I have been curious as to how to make money with 3D printing. I am sure this is the main thought for many that would like to get into the 3D printing business. Mr. Ito, I believe does a good job in explaining the process and outlining the various ways for one to make money with 3D printing. I definitely appreciate that he also recognizes the process that needs to be taken in order to make that money, it is not a get rich quick scheme. Thank you for the invaluable information.

The book has a comprehensive overlook of a majority of the current info regarding 3d printing, but not much details if your looking for how-to's. In my opinion, it's more of an inspirational or motivational read for those new to the industry.

The film documentary changed our eating habits for good and you get the highlights in the beginning of this book. You almost don't need to see the documentary but you should. And we also have the large recipe only cookbook of the same name. We have both because we loved this documentary so much. Cutting out meat and dairy has made a tremendous difference in our lives. Also cutting out desserts and sodas as well. Weight loss comes pretty quickly and the long-term effects are indisputable. Why take a chance on your health? We do not deny ourselves one bit and totally enjoy our lifestyle. Of course we will have dessert on a special occasion, and maybe a soda once a month. But we keep them rare occurrences. As well as fish...this is where we digress from the book. We have fruit daily as our dessert and we are in no way lacking sweets. We have "infused" water with a splash of cranberry juice for an awesome drink that is not too sweet but has lots of fruit flavor. We drink this at home every day---it is our go to drink. Again, not lacking in any way. Cut out the sugar and cut out the red meat and cut out the dairy fat and your body can DIGEST food the right way. The other stuff just gets in the way of digesting your veggies which is where true nutrition is found. For this former voracious meat eater I didn't think I could survive on veggies, but with the right recipes I can. And the weight just stays off. Some great recipes in this book Easy Quesadillas p.82, Bean and Barley Chowder p.94, Zingy Italian White Bean soup p.96 and of course the go to Black Bean salad that stands alone, or as a side with another dish, or on top of your greens salad. p.105

I have become a Forks Over Knives convert. This book is a great companion after watching the movie (very cheap on YouTube). My wife and I have cut back on eating meat drastically, and have found loads of veggie recipes that taste great to such a point that we really don't even miss the meat. And I grew up loving meat in all its forms.At first I didn't understand the title, but once it was explained that using your fork to eat healthy foods is much better than going under the knife for surgery, it made sense. So many of my friends and co-workers eat a meat heavy diet, and yesterday we were told that one of them has to start immediate chemo after they found a very large cancerous tumor inside and outside his colon, and he is in his late 40s! In the book they talk about other parts of the world that eat mostly fruits and veggies (too poor for meat) and they have very low rates of cancer. If anyone ignores that warning, they are a fool.

I liked the documentary, so I bought this book thinking it would add to what I learned. Nope, wrong.I am returning this book because it isn't a BOOK, it's a *cookbook*. Yes, I realize it says right on the cover that it has 125 recipes, and yes, I did look at the preview. But I assumed this would be mostly BOOK plus recipes. What I got was no different than most other cookbooks I own. A cookbook with a little bit of extra information. The information was identical to the documentary, and the personal stories were scattered between the recipes.I love Forks over Knives, but I'm choosing to return this because if you want a cookbook, why not pay a few extra bucks for the Forks over Knives cookbook that has 300 recipes? Makes more sense to me. But, I suppose this would be a good book to get someone who refuses to watch the documentary? Maybe.

Oh this is wonderful fun, and one of my favorite new comics. It has a Dexter vibe mixed with 50s and 60s tropes and a subversive take on the times with a feminist antihero. And there’s not much intellectual challenge in terms of the content, But the visuals and storyline are a lot of fun, and there’s no heavy-handed attempt for it to be something more than it’s Benite but the visuals and storyline a lot of fun, and there’s no heavy-handed attempt for it to be something more than it is. Everyone I have loaned my copy to has thoroughly enjoyed it, and I highly recommend it!

This book is really fun and the art is outrageous, psychotically adorable and brilliant colors. I'm looking forward to more of Jones's work in the future. The story is more spy than serial killer, which was a bit of a surprise. The characters are all quite distinct-looking so it's easy to tell what's going on.

I really love this series! It's an amazing story, wonderful ink work and color palette used to capture that vintage-home feel. I ADORE the "housewife assassin" concept. Gimme more!!

I really enjoyed this book. The art is absolutely fantastic. The story is unique and interesting. It's like Mad Men and Dexter had a comic book baby. Loved it! My only complaint is that it wasn't long enough. I look forward to Lady Killer vol 2!

This series is so stylized and [erfectly captures the era, and the story is fantastic. I absolutely love Lady Killer.

Nice cover and nice paper and good font. That deserves two stars. However, almost all of the reviews are misleading if you think they are talking about this book. Amazon is applying reviews in batch to the story, not to any particular edition. Beware. This edition, with this cover and with "The Discovery of the Great" at the top, is bogus. The closest you come to identifying the publisher is in the back: "Made in the USA San Bernardino, CA 26 February 2018". It will be printed just for you, most likely from text that was originally on standard 8 1/2" by 11". When sent to the printer and printed on 6" x 9" paper stock, most all the lines wrap so you get some short lines and some long - a complete mess! This printer did not even bother to define the right paper size. Also did not bother to print page numbers or anything beyond the Mark Twain text.

Alot of the complaints in the reviews about this book are that "It is too slow", and "It is too difficult to read." Guess what! This is not The Hunger Games or The Twilight Series. This is actual literature from over 100 years ago. Yes it takes work to get through the dialogue. It is not exactly a page turner in that regard. But if you can be patient, and "get into the groove' of the dialect, then you will soon be able to read through the conversation with less effort. It is rewarding! Of course, I am reading this as an adult, and because I chose to do so, and not for a homework assignment. I am glad I took the time to do so, because this to me is what literature is all about. It's rewarding - not just a book you cruise through in two days, and then give it to your 10 year old who also reads it in two days. There is a lot of social commentary, as well as commentary about the inherent decency of man, and what we do to screw up our kids along the way. Critics are correct, this is not a children's book. It just happens to be about a child. Mark Twain was a masterful writer. I hope you take the time to work through this book. Also, the Dover Thrift version does not appear to be censored - as some of the other books are purported to be.

We bought this book for my child’s 7th grade summer reading. For this, annotation is required including underlining. The printing on this book is so so small that I literally gasped when I opened the book. This book should be 3-4 times as thick but they’ve condensed the font size so much to save pages that it is useless to a student. I have 20/20 vision and would struggle. I want my money back but am not going to bother sending it back because it would cost me as much postage as I paid for the “book.” The text size is what I’m guessing to be 5 pt font. It’s shocking!!!! We are headed to Barnes and Noble to get something we can actually use for school.

I wanted to re-read this due to the discussions of removing it from school libraries and required reading lists related the use of a certain word. I read this in the fifth grade, and at that time, it was simply a great adventure of two boys . Now, over 50+ years later I see it in an entirely different light. It is not just an adventure of two boys... but also a social and political commentary on slavery. Now I truly appreciate the significance and genius of Mark Twain. It is a part of our history that we need to study and learn from. Like the Holocaust...we should never forget.

I have a personal reason for reading this book - we lost our son to suicide totally unexpectedly, without warnings, 16 months ago. The loss has devasted us and turned our own existence into a painful struggle. We had no idea that our son was suffering, let alone that he was suicidal. The appearance he presented was totally misleading. He was a young, highly functioning professional with a lot of friends. He was good looking, athletic and talented. He always appeared to be in control. His suicide was a shock to all. How could we all be so wrong?Jesse Bering’s book confirmed so many things that I have come up with during my own 16 months “psychological autopsy” and “trying to get into my son’s head”. There were certain traits that contributed to my son’s death. As Jesse lists some of them: perfectionism-check, sensitivity-check, very high standards for himself and blaming himself - check. Propensity for depression, combined with numerous situational stressors that created a perfect storm -check. Having a gun as Jesse points out, and I agree, was a recipe for disaster.I found chapter 4 on Roy Baumeister’s stages in which the individual moves from one degree of suicidality on to the next immensely valuable, particularly from the perspective that it is here where the deadly cycle can be broken. I actually reread this part and will be rereading many parts of the book.Another well-illustrated point is what Edwin Shneidman calls “psychache”. The case of Vic, a young girl who took her own life is particularly painful to read. Her writings are so beautiful and haunting.As Jesse points out, this is not a suicide prevention book. His hope is that it might help people better understand the problem and maybe recognize some of the signs and deal with them.After reading the book, I feel solidarity with the author, Jesse Bering. His sincerity and sharing of his personal struggles make me feel that we are in the same boat. In his outstanding book, Heavens on Earth, Michael Shermer writes about a staggering level of complexity produced by 85 billion of neurons in a human brain, each with about a thousand synaptic links, for a total of 100 trillion connections. I can’t help but think that somehow those 85 billion neurons and 100 trillion connections also account for the commonalties that we share as human beings. Though each suicide seems to be different, the commonalities are extremely important clues for dealing and hopefully understanding and solving the problem.Did Jesse’s book provide answers to all the questions? No, and Jesse himself acknowledges that. But he certainly went along this long, dark, seemingly endless hall with seemingly endless doors and he unlocked many of them one by one. And I hope that he doesn't stop here.. Luckily, Jesse is not alone on this hall. There are others doing the same.I found Jesse’s book so valuable that I will give a copy to people I know who are interested in understanding the subject better.

Bering is one of my favorite authors and he doesn't disappoint with "Suicidal." As he makes clear from the beginning, this book is his attempt to make sense of suicide and hopefully provide others with a guide to help prevent future suicides. It is his hope that the information he provides can be a roadblock to those having suicidal thoughts as well as helpful to those interested in suicide and suicide prevention.Bering accepts Roy Baumeister's model of the steps leading up to suicide and dedicates a whole chapter to a case study. Although some might say that the book isn't exhaustive enough, I'd agree but I don't believe Bering's aim was an exhaustive, academic tome on suicide. Suicide, Bering makes clear, is a complicated topic but the more we know about it, the better we are at identifying those that are suicidal.Witty, engaging, and informative, "Suicidal" is for all those concerned about suicide.

A deep dive into a taboo topic with a good mix of personal reflections from the author and reviews of relevant prior research. Jesse Bering's approach to the topic is balanced and respectful, always engaging, and sometimes somehow humorous. I'm grateful for the perspective he offers which has genuinely changed the way I look at suicidal ideation.

I have spent the last 17 months reading everything I can find to help me rationalize & somehow try to understand the most painful & complicated event that made my world stop....why did my son Skyler, at the age of 23, take his life and no one saw it coming?This book has helped me see this tragedy through another set of eyes, it helped me to indicate more pieces of this puzzle that will never have all the pieces bundled nicely in a sealed tight bag. This book is so much fun! He made his first movie when he was a junior in high school, casting friends from school. His mom said "My house was a total studio..." A great story about a phenomenal filmmaker.

Well I liked the book but why no mention of 1941 at all?

This is a pretty good decent sized book about both Spielberg's life growing up and his most successful movies such as Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, ET, Jurrasic Park and Saving Private Ryan to name a few. There are some great colour photographs from the movies along with a lot of information. If you like the films he has done or are interested in his life then this would have to be one of the best books out there on that subject.

This is a beautiful little book. I enjoyed reading Ms. Rubin's text just as much as the photos. It reads more like a novel than a bio. including little known facts and personal interviews of his family and friends. She makes a point to illustrate the early influences of Steven's family and school life that later became themes for his movies. It is a very intimate look into Speilburg's personal and professional journey. Ms. Rubin has included many formerly unpublished photos. It all adds up to a wonderful read and certainly a lovely addition to your library, especially if you are a fan of Spielberg's work.

Great book for the 9-14 age group or anyone older looking for a light read. Lots and lots of interesting pictures of Spieberg's childhood, early career and blockbuster movies and behind-the-scene production. Well written and a high quality book.
